Information on Empco’s Testing Systems

General Information

Empco offers Testing Systems for Entry Level candidates to take a single test and qualify for multiple agencies in a state.  Currently Empco’s Testing Systems include:

The Tests

Law Enforcement (Police/Road Patrol):

National Criminal Justice Officer Inventory2 (NCJOSI2) is a cognitive ability and behavioral exam.  Candidates are allowed up to 2 ½ hours to complete the exam.

Corrections Officer/Jail:

National Corrections Officer Selection Inventory (NCOSI) is a cognitive ability and behavioral exam.  Candidates are allowed up to 1 ½ hours to complete the exam.

Firefighter:

National Firefighter Selection Inventory (NFSI) is a cognitive ability and behavioral exam.  Candidates are allowed up to 2 ½ hours to complete the exam.
