Empco offers structured oral boards for promotional candidates in law enforcement, fire service, corrections and public safety. These oral boards are created to be specific to each agency and position.
Oral boards are structured interviews designed to measure a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. All oral boards consist of job-related questions designed to examine candidates’ readiness for the position. Job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities are observed and evaluated by trained observers called assessors. Oral boards ask candidates situation-based questions and questions regarding problem solving and management philosophy.
