Antrim County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a full-time Corrections Deputy. Starting pay for non-certified Corrections Deputy – $20.64 per hr – 10% increase once candidate has completed the Corrections Academy within one year; Academy paid for by Sheriff’s Office. Certified Corrections Deputies starting pay is $22.94/hr plus benefits including pension. Current Corrections Deputies wages increase to $27.11 after 3 years of employment.
In order to qualify, a candidate must meet the Michigan Sheriffs’ Coordinating and Training Council pre-employment minimum standards for mental and physical fitness – see information at www.misctc.org. Must successfully complete the written corrections exam through Empco, Inc. These tests must be completed prior to interviewing for the Corrections Deputy position. If hired, testing fee reimbursed. All applicants must pass an extensive background check.
