The Lyon Township Fire Department (LTFD) in Oakland County, Michigan, is seeking to fill the position of Firefighter/EMT (currently four positions available). Come join our team as one of the fastest-growing communities in Michigan
Qualifications
- Valid (unrestricted) Michigan Driver’s License
- Michigan Firefighter I and II
- State of Michigan EMS licensure as a Basic EMT or Paramedic
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Firefighters must be a U.S. Citizen 18 years or older at time of employment and have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- A valid Michigan Operator’s license, with a good record, is required for initial employment and must be maintained while an employee
- EMPCO score of 75% or greater
- Possession of a Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) or OPAT certification at time of application
Benefits
Base Salary of $48,127.16
2024: $49,089.
Top pay after 4 years currently $61,362.17
- 100% paid health care including health, dental, vision
- Annual Holiday Pay-150 hours
- Personal, sick, & comp time
- 401(b) deferred compensation plan-10% base wage
- 457b Social Security opt out with 7.65% matching
- Clothing and food allowance
- 53-hour week
- This is a non-SAFER grant funded position
