Empco is now accepting applications for eligibility lists to be established.

Dates are as follows:
Application/Paperwork Due:
September 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

Written Exam Date:
September 12, 2009, door open at 8:30 a.m., doors lock at 9:30 a.m.

Oral Board Dates:
September 15, 2009 – September 17, 2009

In order to be eligible for the consortium departments, you must
complete all five of the following steps:

  1. Release Form – Must be signed and notarized
  2. Background Questionnaire
  3. Military Service Record Request – ONLY Download/Fill out if appliciable

What is needed to be mailed to EMPCO:

  1. Release Form (from step 2)
  2. Background Questionnaire (from step 2)
  3. Military Service Record Request (from step 2) – ONLY if applicable.
  4. College transcripts, ONLY if applicable.
  5. Resume
  6. MCOLES Police Pre-Employment tests results (written and physical skills). Current sworn officers should submit a copy of their departmental ID in place of the MCOLES Police Pre-Employment test results. Being a sworn officer in Michigan generally gives you a waiver from the pre-employment test requirement. For information on MCOLES, click here.
  7. $60.00 Registration Fee (fee is non-refundable)
